Since April 2023, Hans-Ulrik Skifte has been at the head of the start up of the government owned company NunaGreen A/S. New projects require different skills and therefore the board has entered into a resignation agreement with the CEO.

NunaGreen A/S is a continuation of the former Nunaoil. In December 2022, it was thus decided that the company’s purpose should be changed and going forward should be to work for the green transition and acceleration of green energy solutions for the benefit of Greenland

In 2023, NunaGreen A/S has been tasked with securing the expansion of the hydroelectric power plant in Buksefjorden, as well as the establishment of a hydroelectric power plant between Qasigiannguit and Aasiaat. After a thorough process of creating an overview of how NunaGreen can best carry out these large new construction projects, the board has unanimously assessed that new management skills are needed to ensure the start-up and progress of the construction.

The board has therefore entered into an agreement with Hans-Ulrik Skifte that he will resign as CEO of NunaGreen A/S, and a process will be initiated to find NunaGreen’s new director.

In the interim period, NunaGreen’s head of administration, Karen Anne Arleth, is appointed as interim CEO.

The board thanks Hans-Ulrik for his effort during the start-up period of NunaGreen A/S.
