Starting June 1, 2024, Aviaaja Karlshøj Knudsen will assume her position as CEO of NunaGreen A/S. Aviaaja, who has a strong background as a trained architect, brings extensive experience from leadership roles, including as Project Director at Greenland Airports and as a long-standing vice-chairman of the board at INI A/S.
Under Aviaaja’s leadership, NunaGreen will focus on key infrastructure projects, including the expansion of the Buksefjorden hydropower plant and the construction of a new hydropower plant in Disko Bay. These projects are crucial for Greenland’s future energy supply and development.
“Aviaaja’s in-depth knowledge of major construction projects and her deep understanding of the Greenlandic community were decisive factors for the board’s choice,” says Line Frederiksen, Chairman of the Board at NunaGreen.
NunaGreen also aims to promote the green transition and commercialize Greenland’s energy potentials. “I look forward to contributing to NunaGreen’s growth and to leading our ambitious projects that will both strengthen the critical infrastructure and support sustainable development in Greenland,” says Aviaaja Karlshøj Knudsen.
The recruitment of Aviaaja was conducted in collaboration with a leading external recruitment agency, and the board is confident that she is the right person to lead NunaGreen in an exciting time for the company and for Greenland.
