NunaGreen Construction Disko Bay A/S announces the tender for an advisory contract related to the planning and construction of a new hydropower plant in Disko Bay. The hydropower plant will ensure that the towns of Qasigiannguit and Aasiaat will, in the future, be supplied with stable, renewable energy for both electricity and heating.
The advisory contract covers the planning, development, and execution of the tender process for the actual construction of the hydropower plant. The contract is expected to run from 2026 to 2032.
NunaGreen looks forward to receiving bids from advisors, and in the evaluation, particular emphasis will be placed on experience with hydropower projects and the bidder’s proposals for the involvement of Greenlandic labor and/or local sub-consultants.
The tender will be conducted as an open procedure, and all economic operators who meet the minimum requirements may submit a bid. All tender documents will be available via the Dalux procurement portal.
The new hydropower plant in Disko Bay will have a capacity of 21 MW (3 x 7 MW) and will supply Qasigiannguit and Aasiaat with renewable electricity and heating. The project will significantly reduce CO₂ emissions, replace oil with renewable energy, and strengthen Greenland’s self-sufficiency in its green transition.
Deadlines, additional information, and conditions will be provided in the tender documents. The material will be available on 23 September 2025 at the following link:
